On your 1st birthday

Feb 2019 is a eventful month.

You had your first CNYcelebration.

You fell sick in the same week with cough and runny nose and high fever. On day 4, brought you to see PD and was referred to go hospital ($65 for nothing). Then at hospital, you went to see doctor and did an xray + blood test. Diagnose with chest infection and was on antibiotics.($120)

You had your first bday celebration at 155 with  a mickey mouse theme ice cream cake, strawberry cheesecake flavour. Your 奶奶 said to 意思意思 let you eat the cake your it's your birthday cake. although it doesn't make sense, i still fed you some sponge which is super sweet. Your father on the other hand was ..??? and kept feeding you ice cream. To cut the long story short, you woke up at 12+ am and started crying non stop for 30 min.

And your second celebration at function room with a baby boss cake, with your face printed. As mama was busy with the decor and guest, i had no time to look after you. and i can only see people sneaking "banned" food into your mouth.

You had this white thing for months, it looked a bit bigger. Your papa was so gan jiong and decided to bring you to see the doc immediately. $90 to hear the doc say it's okay.

On your actual birthday, ah ma said you vomitted. You were still vomitting when we reach ah ma house. 5 times from 5 to 8pm. So you spent the remaining 3 hours of your birthday in the hospital.

Before we finished the course of glucose the doc gave, i sensed that you auto recovered as you were hungry. So we decided to ignore the doc and just feed you milk.

To cut a long story short, another $120 spent to learn that even vomitting also no need to see doctor immediately.

That's four doctor visits in feb.

2018 in Review

#mummy'sthoughts

2 weeks into 2019, i give thanks for all the good things that happened in 2018. There were probably not so good things also, but i can't seem to remember them well.

1. JK

My JK arrived in Feb, within the 15 days of CNY. Due to the cuckoo doctor who read my blood test results wrongly, I was led to think that i was carrying a girl for 38 weeks. Imagine my SHOCK to see JK.

It was not a bed of roses for the first few months with JK. Firstly the confinement nanny caused JK to choke on milk, then he had a distended (bloated) stomach and was hospitalised twice in a week, when he was just 2 weeks old. Of course she was sacked. JK didn't latch on well so i was just pumping initially and was not very hardworking. Thus stopped breastfeeding when he was 5 months.I have faith in the formula milk.

JK is a smiley baby. He smiles at almost everyone who tries to make him smile. 

He flipped at 16 weeks. Started crawling at 20 weeks. He crawls VERY fast now (Should time him next time). 

He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. If you wave at him, he might pull your hand into his mouth.

He wanted to bite "Sister Jiejie" (She calls herself this) when she took away his toy.

Dear JK, sorry for times that mommy can't lie with you at night cos Sister Jiejie cannot sleep with papa (he not her best friend. You are. And I am)

Sorry for the times that Mommy and Papa did not take enough care and let you fall off the bed/hit your head. But sometimes you have to reflect on yourself also. You are like a monkey. When we carry you in our arms, you would just lean forward at 90 degrees with your face parallel to the floor. It's hard to carry like this you know. Almost all the drawers and cabinets have been opened by you - sliding doors, drawers, all no problem for you.

Thanks for all the times you smile at Mommy, for opening your arms to me to ask for carry, for leaning close to me when you sleep, for eating the food i cook, for trying to feed me, for drinking so much water, just for being so cute and having a sweet smile, a cute pout and a pair of charming eyes and soft nice smelling hair and adorable ears and for all the cute baby sounds you make -- all these moments with you make Mommy's heart burst with love and joy. 

2. N1

WE started N1 and i must say she has blossomed from a mild chatterbox to a major radio box.

She can converse in long sentences, non stop.

She is of class monitor material as she likes to "report" stuff people do like "mummy, daddy is eating ice cream!", "mummy, kor kor just now make my leg.

She talks in her sleep sometimes.

3. New House

We moved house - from being in front of a bus stop. to being near an mrt track. noise level upgraded.

4. Travel

JK's first trip on plane to Khao Yai!

5. Seow

Appreciative that he has become more hands on in taking care of JK.

Siblings Drama

WE was holding on to a cookie and squeezing pass JK who was in the walker. I turned to go to the toilet and suddenly WE burst out crying. I turned around. The whole cookie was inside JK's mouth and WE was pointing at him saying "didi eat my biscuit!" #wejk
